Activations

Activations will be announced in posts on this website. When we are activated, Bay Area Skywarn weather spotters should report weather events according to the reporting criteria directly to the NWS MTR WFO as they were instructed.

During an activation, unless otherwise noted in the activation post, weather spotters who are hams also have two options to submit reports:

1. Report to the Skywarn Coordinator in your area on your local repeater.
2. Submit reports to W6RQ using Winlink.
