The forecast for Labor Day Weekend remains hot and dry through Monday. There is a Beach Hazards Statement for the beaches of the Bay Area and Santa Cruz County continues through Monday evening, while the elevated fire weather threat for the interior mountains persists through Monday due to hot and dry conditions combined with breezy afternoon winds.

The longer term forecast has been updated to include the possibility of a cooling trend starting Tuesday through the rest of the week.
